To better serve our members and ensure fair access to our educational offerings, MSBR is implementing a
No-Show & Cancellation Policy for all classes and events effective June 1, 2026.
For over 10 years MSBR has offered many events and Continuing Education at no additional cost to the membership. The no-show rate was minimal; now it averages 16%. Location, food, and materials are all based on the number of attendees. Many (16%) no longer let MSBR know if they cannot attend. For this reason, the Education Committee recommended and the Board of Directors approved the following No Show Policy.
|
We get it—things come up! Just don’t forget to cancel your MSBR class 24 hours in advance to avoid a $25 no-show fee.
Last minute exceptions will be
reviewed on a case by case basis.

Legislation & Regulation & Your Bottom Line
RPAC helped make this happen
Maryland Passes Bill SB 691 EMD Return
SB 691 Expands the expedited return of Earnest Money Deposits to all contract contingencies. In addition, it clarifies the process for requesting mediation when a seller disputes the deposit release. The common sense legislation helps ensure buyers aren't unfairly tied up in disputes and can move forward with confidence. More information here.

In just 2½ years, because of your generosity and participation, MSBR has helped 59 families achieve homeownership through the Love Down Payment Grant Program.
Each of these families worked with a MSBR REALTOR; Title Companies and Lenders, turning the dream of homeownership into a reality—right here in our communities.
Let’s keep the momentum going.
You can make a difference by:
Making a one-time donation, or
Choosing a recurring donation to extend your impact all year long.
Every dollar matters.
Every contribution helps open the door to homeownership.

- Drive measurable results for their clients during the most critical window of a listing.
