NEW--IRS milage rate changed July 1, 2026

For all agents who use the IRS mileage rate for tax purposes it was increased.

The IRS issued a mid-year increase for 2026 standard mileage rates due to rising fuel costs. For the second half of the year (July 1 through December 31, 2026), the business rate is 76 cents per mile, and the medical and military moving rate is 23.5 cents per mile. You must split your mileage logs between the two halves of the year.

Mileage Rate Breakdown by Period
 Jan 1 – June 30, 2026: Business (72.5 cents), Medical/Moving (20.5 cents)

July 1 – Dec 31, 2026: Business (76 cents), Medical/Moving (23.5 cents)
